Which devices does FilmTable support?
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. There’s no iPad or Android version at the moment.
Is the app available in English?
Yes. FilmTable is available in English and Simplified Chinese. It follows your iPhone’s language; to switch, tap the gear icon on the profile page to open Settings, then Language.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account is needed. Editing, collages and exports all happen on your phone and work offline. Purchasing and restoring purchases need a connection to the App Store.
Purchases and restoring
What does the free version include?
Every editing feature, plus 3 saves to Photos. After that, saving opens the unlock screen.
How much is the unlock? Is it a subscription?
It’s a one-time purchase: US$6 in the US store. Other countries and regions see their local App Store price. It isn’t a subscription, nothing renews, and there are no ads. After unlocking, saving to Photos is unlimited.
Where do I buy the unlock?
Tap the avatar at the top right of the home screen, then Upgrade to Lifetime. The unlock screen also opens when you save after using the 3 free saves.
I have a new phone or reinstalled the app. How do I restore my purchase?
Sign in with the Apple Account you bought with, open FilmTable, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the unlock screen. It’s also in Settings: tap the gear icon on the profile page.
It says no purchase was found to restore.
Usually the Apple Account signed in on this phone isn’t the one used for the purchase. Check under Settings › your name › Media & Purchases. If the message mentions a network problem, connect and try again.
My purchase says it’s waiting for approval.
Family members with Ask to Buy turned on need the family organizer to approve the purchase. Once it’s approved, FilmTable unlocks automatically; you don’t need to buy again.
Can my family share the unlock?
The unlock doesn’t support Family Sharing at the moment. Any iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account can restore it.
How do I request a refund?
Apple handles payments and refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account you used, and follow the steps to request a refund. If the refund is approved, the unlock is removed.
Photos and saving
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. FilmTable has no servers; everything is processed on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
Saving to Photos failed.
FilmTable needs permission to add photos. Go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › FilmTable, allow adding photos, then save again.
Why doesn’t the frame show camera settings?
The photo has no EXIF data, which is common for screenshots and images saved from chat apps. Tap the text on the photo to type your own. See how to read EXIF data.
What export sizes and formats are there?
Original size, 2048 px or 1080 px on the long edge, as high-quality JPG, standard JPG or PNG.
Where are my drafts, and what happens if I delete the app?
Drafts are under Recent Drafts on the home screen. Drafts, your nickname and avatar, and the free-save count are stored only on your iPhone and are removed when you delete the app. Your unlock is recorded with Apple; after reinstalling, tap Restore Purchases.
